We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Limerick Racecourse to bring you the King Johns Castle Munster National Racing Festival.
Speaking at the launch, Tom Rudd, Manager of Limerick Racecourse said ‘It is very special to joing forces with such an iconic landmark like King John’s Castle to launch and showcase our new festival. The castle symbolises Limerick’s rich medieval history, and we hope our racing festival, like its namesake, will still be going strong 800 years from now’.
The event will take place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October 2023.

King John’s Castle will once again host the hugely popular Live at the Castle Summer Concert Series in 2026, with a spectacular lineup of international icons and leading Irish artists. The series is brought to the castle by Dolan’s, who return to programme the historic riverside venue across May, June and July 2026.
Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James will bring his acclaimed live show to King John’s Castle on Friday, June 5th, 2026, for a very special summer concert in Limerick.
