David Gray returns to Limerick as part of his Past and Present Tour for a very special show in the atmospheric surroundings of King John’s Castle on Thursday, May 1, 2025 – kicking off this year’s Live at the Castle series in unforgettable style.
A true master of songwriting, David Gray’s journey is one of persistence, passion, and artistic brilliance. After nearly a decade of building his sound, he rose to international stardom with the iconic album White Ladder – one of the best-selling Irish albums of all time – which launched him to arena stages and solidified his place as a major voice in modern music.
From Babylon to This Year’s Love, his music continues to resonate deeply with fans, combining emotional depth, poetic lyrics, and a unique sense of place – as heard in his critically acclaimed 2021 album Skellig.
Influencing a generation of artists including Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Hozier, Gray remains a singular talent who always follows his own artistic path.
“Delighted to welcome David Gray back to Limerick,” said Mick Dolan at the launch. “David has a long-standing history here – from intimate shows in Dolans Warehouse during his White Ladder tour to a massive set in Thomond Park as special guest to Bob Dylan. This is not to be missed.”
