Balor Otherworld Halloween Storytelling

This Halloween, Balor Otherworld comes to King John’s Castle for a day of storytelling inspired by eerie tales, local legends and Irish folklore.

Taking place on 28 October 2026, the event features two storytelling sessions at 1pm and 3pm in the Chapel, located in the castle courtyard. Visitors of all ages can enjoy stories rooted in Ireland’s rich storytelling traditions.

Halloween Storytelling in the Castle

With its medieval stone walls and historic surroundings, King John’s Castle provides a unique setting for Halloween storytelling. The Chapel in the castle courtyard will host Balor Otherworld for two sessions throughout the day.

Halloween costumes are welcome, so visitors are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.

Visitors can also explore the castle and its towers with a valid admission ticket, making it a great opportunity to experience Limerick’s medieval history during the Halloween season.
